This appears to be the only time McLean has performed at this festival. The good news is we have this recording at all. This is a bootleg I got from a die-hard McLean fan. I don't believe it's been in circulation on the Internet until now. However, there's bad news too: this is not the complete performance. According to setlist.fm, he also played "Homeless Brother," "Have You Seen Me," "Tulsa Time," "Deep in the Heart of Texas," and "I Gotta Know." So that's probably close to half that's missing, judging by the number of songs. If anyone has the rest, please let me know and I'll add it in.
McLean was assisted by a small band. At the time of this concert, he was about 66 years old. (He's 80 years old as I write this in 2025.) But while he was getting up there in age, I'm glad to say I didn't notice it affecting his performance in this concert.
This album is 34 minutes long.
