This is Volume 4 of my six albums of Brandi Carlile doing cover songs. I don't want to repeat myself too much, so I'll just say that she has a fantastic voice and excellent taste in cover songs, so this is a good listen.
In terms of sound quality, nine out of the 14 songs are officially unreleased. Sometimes that can mean dodgy sound, but as I said with earlier albums, I've maintained high standards. I have musical associate Lil Panda veto the inclusion of a few that were borderline. I used the MVSEP audio editing program to remove most of the crowd noise on the songs that had crowd noise.
When it comes to song selection, the vast majority are undisputed classics. But she does do a few songs that are more recent and lesser known, including an Adele song. Perhaps some of them will be considered classics someday.
