As I mentioned in a previous write-up, the Watsonville population is about 80 percent ethnically Hispanic. So it made sense to have acts like Los Lobos and Santana, who were popular with the Hispanic community. As a nice bonus, Cesar Rosas and David Hildago, the two main singer-songwriters in Los Lobos, played with Santana on a couple of songs near the end of this concert. They can't be heard singing very much, but they traded lead guitar solos with Carlos Santana. Jorge Santana, brother of Carlos, joined in on a couple of other songs as well.
Note that music from a third concert in Oakland that was also part of this benefit effort will be coming soon.
This album is an hour and 58 minutes long.
