This is a music blog, not a political blog, so I'll keep my comments brief. As a political progressive, I'm very encouraged by the news that former President Trump has been indicted on serious federal charges today. ReplyDeleteTrump has, indeed, been indicted by a grand jury in South Florida in connection with the documents discovered at Mar-a-Lago. The indictment is sealed, but there are reports that it includes seven counts of lawbreaking, including at least one related to the Espionage Act. These charges are serious indeed.

ReplyDeleteI found a boot of this show. Unfortunately, the sound quality is really bad (just someone far off in the audience with a tape recorder), so I'm not going to post it. There also was a Big Star Wild Honey Orchestra last year. I haven't even found a bad boot of that one yet. Hopefully better versions of both will show up eventually.

DeleteTrump should never have been given the opportunity to be President in the first place. The warnings were there for everyone to see, for years and years. Your political system allowed for this to occur. We, in the outside world could see it coming, yet Republican types still can't seem to work it out. Insulting Joe Biden is childish and pointless as this is all about Trump.

DeleteI don't think they think that, but something has gone wrong, and not only in America. Now, the threats from the republican side of the population with violence is getting out of hand, and as long as Trump is around to stir his side up, it could escalate. I always loved that statement from "Apocalypse Now"." Terminate with extreme prejudice"!. It might come to that and I hope not. But there is always someone out there with a screw loose.

ReplyDeleteI remember when the Mueller Report came out and proved that Trump was guilty of treason and he was arrested and jailed. I firmly believe this indictment will be equally successful.
