Lenny Kravitz - VH-1 Storytellers, New York City, 8-22-1999

Here comes another "VH-1 Storytellers" episode. This time, it's Lenny Kravitz.

Kravitz has had a very successful musical career. He's sold over 40 million albums worldwide. Most of his success came in the 1990s. The timing of this concert is a bit curious, because it came over a year after the release of his last album at the time, "5." He did have a very big hit single in 1999, "American Woman," that came from a movie soundtrack instead of his latest album. But he didn't play that here, or at least it wasn't included in the TV show.

Only one song from this album "5" was included in this performance, "Fly Away," a big hit. But then again there were only six songs in all. That, in part, is because he did a lot of talking, about 16 minutes' worth. The other songs were all big hits from earlier albums, except for the deep cut "My Precious Love."

This album is 45 minutes long.

01 talk (Lenny Kravitz)
02 Are You Gonna Go My Way (Lenny Kravitz)
03 talk (Lenny Kravitz)
04 Let Love Rule (Lenny Kravitz)
05 talk (Lenny Kravitz)
06 Always on the Run (Lenny Kravitz)

08 Believe (Lenny Kravitz)
09 talk (Lenny Kravitz)
10 My Precious Love (Lenny Kravitz)
11 talk (Lenny Kravitz)
12 Fly Away (Lenny Kravitz)

I couldn't find any good photos from this exact concert. So the cover photo is from a concert in Chicago, Illinois, on July 15, 1999.
