Newport Folk Festival, Fort Adams State Park, Newport, RI, 8-2-2008 - Jim James

Here's another album from the 2008 Newport Folk Festival. This time, it's a set by Jim James. He's the lead singer and main songwriter for the band My Morning Jacket.

At the time of this festival, James hadn't put out any solo albums yet. He'd put out a solo EP of cover songs in 2009, though, and then the first of several solo albums starting in 2013. So, not surprisingly, he played all My Morning Jacket songs, with the exception of "When You Are Who You Are."
