A while back, I collaborated with a person named Pete the Greek on a series of non-album tracks by Ron Sexsmith. (Now that I think about it, I still have a couple of those I haven't posted yet. I'll try to get to that soon.) In the process of doing that, we came across this concert. But unfortunately, all we could find were YouTube videos of individual songs (and luckily, most of the banter before each song). We found all the Healy and Sexsmith songs, but we couldn't find two songs Gouldman was known to perform here: "Look Through Any Window" and "I'm Not in Love." So I hesitated to post this until those songs could be found. (If anyone has them, please let me know. I found some dead links to YouTube videos of them.)
However, more time passed, and I decided they were probably lost for good, so I decided to post this anyway. But I didn't want Gouldman to be short-changed two songs compared to the others. So I looked around to see if I could find any good substitutes. I got very lucky. It turns out there is a soundboard bootleg of a 10cc concert from Swansea in Wales, also from 2011, where Gouldman was essentially the opening act for his own 10cc band, playing a handful of songs he'd written before 10cc in an acoustic format. One of the songs he did was "Look Through Any Window," so that was a perfect fit. Unfortunately, he didn't do "I'm Not in Love," since that's a 10cc song he did in the 10cc portion of the concert. So instead I decided to substitute "No Milk Today" for that slot. And while I had that material, I decided to add one more of his songs at the beginning, "Pamela, Pamela." I also took the banter before those songs from that concert, as well as some banter before "Bus Stop," since I otherwise didn't have any for that one.
Hopefully, when you listen to this, you'd never know that three of the songs are from a different source, if I hadn't told you. There are stories before "Look Through Any Window" and "No Milk Today," so that fits this format perfectly. The only snag was that there were some vocal harmonies on those two songs. That didn't fit well, because it's supposed to just be Gouldman singing. So, using the MVSEP program, I stripped out the backing vocals as much as I could. I couldn't get rid of all of them, but I got rid of the vast majority of them.
Aside from the two missing songs, everything else came together nicely here. I think it probably one was one person who split the concert into different YouTube videos way back when, because the videos fit together like pieces of a jigsaw puzzle with no overlap or time gaps in between.
By the way, Gouldman took part in another one of these "Songwriters' Circle" shows back in 1999. I plan to post that one eventually. In that one, he did do an acoustic version of "I'm Not in Love."

The cover photo is from this exact concert. It's actually a composite of four screenshots I took from one of the videos from this concert. The video was so low-res, that I took a screenshot of the whole scene, then I found different points when there were close-ups of each head, and took screenshots of them. I resized the heads and pasted them in, so those parts would be more accurate. Finally, I ran the composite version through the Krea AI program to improve the sharpness some.
