As you may have noticed recently, I've been posting some BBC sessions albums from the 1960s and early 1970s, based on material from the "Top of the Pops" BBC radio show. Before, I was only able to find some of those shows. Sometimes I got lucky, sometimes not. But recently, thanks to an anonymous friend, I've had access to virtually all the Top of the Pops show from that time period. So I've double checked the BBC albums I've posted already and occasionally discovered songs that I'd missed.
I just added in song for a bunch of albums. In particular, I often found songs from the early 1970s, especially 1973 to 1975. That was a time when Top of the Pops was transitioning from mostly consisting of unique performances done just for that show to simply playing released records. But I've carefully checked the Top of the Pops versions with the record versions and found that sometimes there still were unique performances. Those were often previously missed on bootlegs and such, because few people bothered to look at these later years.
Here are the albums I've just updated, with links:
Dave Berry:
I added two songs, "Me and Bobbie McGee" and "Moving On (Turn Around)."

On top of all that, for two more music acts, I found enough new material to split an album into two. I'll be posting those separately.
Vielen Dank für deine Mühe ich freue mich auf deine nächsten Veröffentlichungen. Beste Grüße von Hans
ReplyDeleteThank you for all of the hard work!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the great "albums"!
ReplyDeleteHave you come across any Sandy Shaw, in all your BBC stuff? She won Eurovision with "Puppet on a String", an album of her stuff would be topical given that the Eurovision final is tonight.
I have, actually. Not a whole lot, but enough for an album. So that's on my list.
DeleteI Just found out Joey Holland of Badfinger died March 1, don't know how I missed it. Is it possible you may have some Gary Walker & the Rain tracks or any solo stuff? Or maybe Natural Gas? thanks for all you do. J C
ReplyDeleteI didn't know he died, thanks for the info. Actually, I do have something related that I could post. Keep an eye out for that.
DeleteThank you very much for publishing the Sandie Shaw album. I notice that you have done a couple of Vinegar Joe albums as well as a Robert Palmer, how about an Elkie Brooks album?
ReplyDeleteAs a matter of fact, I have two Elkie Brooks BBC albums ready to go. :)
