Baez only sang two songs, both folk music standards. "Deportee (Plane Wreck at Los Gatos)" was written by Woody Guthrie. No doubt it was chosen because of its sympathy to illegal immigrants coming to the U.S., which has been a hot button political issue. She was backed by Nathaniel Rateliff on both songs.
At the time of this concert, Baez was 85 years old. I gotta say, her voice wasn't quite up to the task at various points. Apparently she'd already decided to retire from concerts, but I guess worthy causes like this one keep pulling her back.
Stills, surprisingly, only sang one song. But it also was a very fitting one for this festival, his 1966 classic "For What It's Worth." He also was backed by Rateliff, and well as Tom Morello.
This album is 20 minutes long.
