Lately, I've been using two file downloading services for every new album I post: Pixeldrain and BestFile. A few days ago, I got a notice that my Pixeldrain account has been suspended due to a copyright violation. The links still work, but I can't make new ones. Then, today, a couple people pointed out new BestFile links that don't work. I tried some others at random, and they don't work either. I then tried to create a new one (for the Luther Dixon Covered album). Everything seemed to work fine and I was given a new URL. But when I tried it, that didn't work either!
So now both the file downloading services I'm currently using aren't working. I'm hoping that the BestFile thing could just be temporary. Is it possible for people to check for other BestFile links elsewhere and/or create some new ones of your own, and see if they work?
In any case, it looks like I should start looking for a new service, since the odds aren't good that both of these will somehow starting working again soon. I'm open to suggestions again.
EDIT: After less than 24 hours, it seems BestFile is working again. Phew! Whatever happened fixed itself. I'm still keen on suggestions for more alternatives though, since it's unclear if Pixeldrain will resume working for me too or not.
Hi Over the last week I downloaded a number of early Fleetwood Mac Bestfile posts and they all seemed to work but they are a little wonky with little 'extra' download links/pages that look legit and I did download some from those links but my protection app kept saying malicious software was downloaded. Ran scans and they identified that it was benign and removed it. If you don't use any of those links and instead just delete them and try again you appear to get a clean download. Only opened a couple but they seem to work fine. Hope this helps.
ReplyDeleteI just tried here several random BestFile links from this year, probably 10 or 12, and there was no data available. I didn't check on every Pixeldrain link, but the ones I tried worked fine.
ReplyDeleteThat's so very frustrating. So sorry to hear about this constant problem!
ReplyDeleteWeTransfer seems to work
ReplyDeleteIt seems my favorite sharing-sites, with the same concerns you have, use Gofile, Wetransfer, Rapidgator, and Mega.nz the most
ReplyDeleteBestfile works again on firefox, for me
ReplyDeleteThe Bestfile links seem to work with JDownloader.
ReplyDeleteI can't say I've experienced any problems with bestfile downloads this week and I downloaded about 20 files from another blog only on Tuesday and have been downloading your files on the days you posted them without problem.
ReplyDeleteI did discover that recent updates to my browser were causing problems elsewhere. I had to turn off one of my browser add-ons because after a recent browser update it triggered the cloudflare captcha of death on some sites, interfered with screen controls affecting the links on the BBC site and caused Youtube streaming to halt after 15 seconds displaying a wheel of death. I switched the add-on off and voila all was working again. Thing is the add on hadn't changed but the browser had.
Its not something only indirectly related like that that you've suffered from is it?
Hi Paul, thanks again for all your excellent work. I sometimes have problems with file download sites similar to Boorad3000 whereby clicking on a link shows a suspicious page. I find if I click the link three times, the download starts on the third attempt. Odd I know but. I then close the 2 suspicious pages and continue. This has just happened with Bestfile. I started using the free Avast Secure Browser which most times was better. Never had any problems with MegaNZ which alllows one to download its own download app but their free hosting is only 20 Gb.
ReplyDeleteA lot of bloggers who have been using mega have had significant problems with mega doing copyright searches over recent months forcing them to move to other fileshare services.
DeleteYeah, I was going to mention that. Mega isn't an option for me because they're so hardcore about copyright issues.
