Dee started her singing career in the early 1960s, with her first single being released in 1963. But many years went by, and many singles releases, without her making the charts at all. Finally, in 1973, she had her first hit in Britain, with the song "Amoureuse." Then in late 1974, she had another hit in Britain with "I've Got the Music in Me." It seems that finally was enough success for her to get her own hour-long BBC concert in early 1975.
Actually, it seems there may have been two BBC concerts, with another one taking place about a month earlier. But only a few songs from that one survive, and only one is different from this one ("Water"), so I put that on "Volume 1" in this series.
This album is unreleased. The sound quality is excellent.
